Bournemouth-based Excelsior Coaches is taking its operations a step closer to being paperless - by issuing all its drivers with smart devices.
The operator is keen to further improve its services, and says equipping its driving team with more efficient ways to carry out their work is a vital part of that.
“Our aim, always, is to continue providing class-leading services,” said Excelsior general manager, Adam Keen. “These new devices, which dock into our coaches for hands-free operation, allow us to do just that.
“Drivers can complete a number of tasks - including their first-use vehicle checks on an app, rather than having to fill in a physical form. They are also be able to pay for parking via their smart devices. We’re pleased to be heading towards an end to pen and paper - and that can only be a good thing for the efficiency and quality of our services.”
